Terracotta Pots

This is a process of discovery through experimentation. These pieces reflect some of that process:

The displayed photos are of shapes and pieces, not made for functional use, but for the beauty of making them. Controlling to some extent the process, but not entirely. The outcome in raku and pit fired methods is never certain, never precise.  Again I quote Picasso Everything you can imagine is real but with these firing  techniques, what you imagine may well turn out to be unreal!   This is due to the less constrained processes applied, layers of only partially controlled pyro-chemistry imparted on the forms you have made.
